About this game
Heavier or Lighter teaches students to compare the mass of two objects fairly. Each object is measured with the same informal unit on a balance, then students compare the results to decide which is heavier, lighter, or the same.

How to play
- Measure the first object by adding units until the balance is level.
- Measure the second object with the same unit.
- Compare the two measurements.
- Choose heavier, lighter or the same.
Teaching tips
- Discuss why both objects must be measured with the same unit.
- Ask students to predict which is heavier before measuring.
