This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you use Vexaroo (vexaroo.org), how it is used, and the choices you have. Vexaroo is designed so that teachers and students can use every game without creating an account or giving any personal information.
Information we do not collect
Vexaroo has no logins, accounts or sign-up forms. We do not ask for, and do not knowingly collect, names, email addresses, photos or other personal information from students or teachers through the games.
Information saved on your own device
Some tools let you type in things like a class list, word lists or calendar events. This information is saved only in your own web browser (using your browser's local storage) so it's still there next time you open the tool on the same device. It is not sent to or stored on Vexaroo's servers. You can remove it at any time by clearing your browser's site data. On shared computers, avoid typing students' full names if you don't want them saved on that device.
Advertising and cookies
Vexaroo uses Google AdSense to show advertisements that help keep the site free. Google and its partners are third-party vendors that may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses or similar technologies to serve and measure ads.

Because many visitors to Vexaroo are children, ads are intended to be non-personalised and are not placed inside the games themselves. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and some other regions will be asked for consent before personalised advertising cookies are used, where required by law.
Website hosting and analytics
Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically record basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for security and to keep the site running. We may also use privacy-friendly, aggregated statistics (such as how many times a game is played) to decide which games to improve. For this we use GoatCounter, which does not use cookies and does not track individual visitors. This information is not used to identify individual visitors.
Children's privacy
Vexaroo is intended to be used by teachers, parents and carers with children, usually in a classroom or at home under adult supervision. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us using the details below and we will delete it.

Vexaroo may link to other websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
