⭐ Handwriting Star

About this tool

Handwriting Star shows how to form letters correctly. Type a word or a list and a star writes it in Foundation-style handwriting, stroke by stroke in the correct order, or glides along a word as a follow-along pointer.

Best for: Foundation to Year 2

How to use it

1. Type a word or a word list.
2. Watch the star write each letter in the correct order.
3. Students trace in the air or on whiteboards as the star writes.
4. Use follow-along mode to read the word together.

Teaching tips

• Model new letters before handwriting practice.
• Have students say the formation as they write.
• Use your weekly sight words to practise handwriting and spelling together.
