About this game

Magnetic Letters is a digital magnetic letter board. Students drag colour-coded letters and blends onto a whiteboard to build words, just like real magnetic letters but without losing any pieces.

Best for: Foundation to Year 2

How to play

1. Drag letters or blends down from the top row.
2. Build a word on the board.
3. Read the word aloud by blending the sounds.
4. Change one letter to make a new word.

Teaching tips

• Try word chains: cat to hat to hot to hop.
• Use colour-coded vowels to help students spot the vowel in each word.
• Ask students to build a word you say, then check together.
